Colin steers the JCA ship and takes pride in mentoring and guiding our team and projects, just like he once was. Mentored by a ‘statesman of the lift industry’ Bob Blanchard, Colin now boasts an enviable 25+ years industry experience.
Colin specialises in design, documentation, tender procedures, contract and portfolio management for new and upgrade projects. His experience, combined with a commitment to ‘doing it right’ with integrity and respect, is evident in everything he does. Away from the office, you’ll find Colin playing a round of golf or enjoying a run in the National Park.
Geoff Smith

Geoff has many years’ experience in lift and upgrades design, traffic analysis, performance audits, litigation and insurance inspections. Having consulted with JCA since its inception in the 90s, he’s dedicated to seeing each client brief through concept to completion.
Fortunately for our clients, Geoff will not compromise on integrity. His commitment and previous experience drive his ability to create long-lasting relationships with clients with confidence. He is a keen golfer and DIY handyman on the weekend.
Craig Healey

Bringing over 40 years of industry experience to the JCA team, Craig is the book of knowledge when it comes to technical and contractual negotiations. He instils a commonsense approach when resolving any issue or challenge.
With previous roles as an Accredited Lift Inspector, General Manager and Service Manager, Craig has overseen all business activities including construction, service, modernisation and tendered repairs. When not on the course playing golf he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Paul Maidment

Paul began his career in the lift industry in 1987 when he started as an apprentice Electrician before working extensively in the field as a service technician. Taking on various roles in project supervision and senior management, Paul has been directly involved in the major upgrade of lifts and escalators within some of Australia’s largest buildings.
On the weekends, Paul is often found on the beach where he gives back to the community through his many hours volounteering for Surf Life Saving.
John Tripi

With extensive technical experience, John holds thorough knowledge of commissioning and testing all types of lift systems. As well as understanding all facets across the full life cycle of vertical transportation, his analytical and technical advice ensure clients have safe, reliable and accessible solutions.
John’s need for speed sees him driving anything with four wheels and an engine, in fact, the more horsepower the better! He loves anything to do with motorsport, cars and even Go-Karting.
Lenny Charles

Lenny joins the team in a consultant capacity. Not afraid to ‘put his head down and work hard’, Lenny delivers across various aspects of vertical transportation. Having worked in sales and production management, Lenny is competent in current legislation standards and the design and tendering process.
Lenny’s industry experience includes installation, modernisation, maintenance and repairs. A master of the BBQ, Cronulla Sharks fan and family man, Lenny plays as hard as he works.
Craig Punnett

Joining as Consultant, Craig’s hands-on experience means he’s well equipped to identify the most effective solution for our clients. Craig understands various aspects of the lift industry with 30+ years in construction, adjusting, service and leading hand roles.
Working for so long ‘on the tools’, he has in-depth knowledge and appreciation for the practicalities of each project. On the weekend, Craig enjoys time with family and friends, exercise and projects around the house.
Robert Kent

Spanning three decades, Rob has led an impressive career as a project manager in the engineering and vertical transportation fields. A ‘big-picture thinker’, Rob is an experienced project leader of construction and engineering teams.
Serving as the project manager at JCA, Rob plays a major role in ensuring the seamless management of all projects and client communication. Rob is responsible for all project deliverables from design, evaluation and procurement to the onsite management process. Through his commitment to this role, Rob has helped JCA improve the performance of our team and ensure our client retention rate of 99.99%.
Away from JCA, Rob enjoys adventuring with his two young children, motorbike and mountain bike riding in his spare time.
Jason Hall
Vertical Transportation Consultant (ACT)

Jason has led an impressive career during his two decades working in the vertical transportation industry.
Since following in his family’s footsteps and beginning as an apprentice lift mechanic at 15 years old, Jason has always had a passion for the industry. He holds qualifications as an ARTC Electrical Mechanic, NVQ Lift Engineering, LEIA Certificates for Lift Engineering and is a fully licensed electrician. In 2022 he was presented the KONE Leadership Award by his peers in recognition of outstanding leadership and management.
As a Vertical Transportation Consultant at JCA Lift Consultants, Jason develops our client management and services in the ACT Region. He works with facility and strata managers, building owners and representatives to provide expert advice in vertical transportation.
This includes, independent audits, life cycle analysis, capital works forecasting as well as design, tendering and project management services.
Away from the office Jason is busy with his three boys and tinkering in the garage, restoring old BMWs to their former glory.
Andrew Schauwecker

Born into the world of elevators thanks to his father’s legacy at Otis Elevator Company, Andrew Schauwecker blends over 25 years of industry expertise with an electrician’s precision. Guided by his principles of honesty and loyalty, he’s made a notable impact on the industry, including a stint where he automated an off-grid cattle farm. Despite his detours, the allure of vertical transportation beckoned him back in 2019, reinforcing his passion for the lift industry.
As a Consultant and Site Auditor at JCA, Andrew plays a pivotal role in guiding the site auditing team. He meticulously evaluates maintenance standards, conducts comprehensive safety inspections, and assesses VT equipment, ensuring precise life cycle recommendations.
Beyond his professional achievements, Andrew is an adventurer, passionate about motorbike rides, kayaking, and exploring Australia’s regional pockets in his caravan alongside his wife of 24 years.
Raffaele Morena

Raffaele Morena is a seasoned professional in the vertical transportation industry, bringing over two decades of invaluable experience to his role as Vertical Transportation Consultant.
Beginning his career with Otis Elevator Company in 2000, Raffaele quickly progressed through the ranks before transitioning to TK Elevator Australia in 2006. Raffaele assumed key positions such as NSW Modernisation Sales Manager and Construction Sales Manager, where he showcased his exceptional leadership and client-focused approach.
Raffaele holds a Certificate III in Lift Systems Electrical and a Diploma in Business Management. He also possesses necessary licences, such as a TITAB Registered Cabler in Lifts and a Qualified Supervisor Certificate in Electrical.
With a keen ability to anticipate challenges and provide effective solutions, Raffaele ensures seamless project execution, saving time and resources while delivering outstanding results for JCA clients.
In his spare time, Raffaele enjoys spending time with loved ones, staying active through fitness activities, exploring new culinary experiences, and indulging in his passion for sports.
